HUSD hosted its comprehensive annual Mock Interview Contest on November 20th at the district office. The event was meticulously designed to provide students with invaluable experience and critical feedback in a professional setting. After a warm welcome and check-in, students embarked on a structured day, participating in three main interview rotations. These rotations gave them the unique opportunity to practice their skills with a diverse panel of interviewers, including elementary principals, District Office staff, and secondary principals.
When not in an interview, students also attended informational sessions with the Youth Opportunity Center and the LAUNCH/RCOE Pre-app program. The day’s agenda was packed with constructive activities, including time for lunch, a motivational speaker, and an exciting awards ceremony with photos to celebrate participant achievements.
