Hemet High School Scholarship Opportunities 2019

Seniors, this is the time of year when college may be calling for you.  With that, there are many scholarship opportunities that may be available to you.  Please continue reading to find out if any of these scholarships may interest you.

Note the deadline for many of the individual scholarships.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

is the most important financial aid form.  It enables students to apply for all federal and state financial aid.  It is available online beginning October 1 at www.fafsa.gov.  The FAFSA submission deadline is March 2.

All college-bound seniors, whether they are planning to go to four-year or community college, should submit the form.

Students who do not have a Social Security Number should complete a California Dream Act application at https://dream.ca.gov instead of a FAFSA.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOPS:

Local scholarship workshops are held in November.  All seniors are encouraged to attend.  Please contact the Counseling Office for more information.

OTHER SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Students are encouraged to check scholarship listings in the Counseling Office frequently throughout the year.

In addition scholarship listings can be found at www.fastweb.com

Attention Seniors:  There are MANY scholarships currently available from local organizations and foundations looking to award money to Hemet High School Seniors.  Please check the scholarship bucket for these opportunities.  You must apply for each scholarship individually - these opportunities are NOT part of the local scholarship packets you turned in.  Please see Mrs. Daniels in the Counseling office for more information.
