Baseball Win San Diego Lions Championship

Congratulations to Coach Arnold the Boys Baseball team who were playing the game they love over the break.  While most of us were out messing around or on vacation, the team played in the San Diego Lions Tournament and went 5-0 and won the championship.

See KUSI video clip.

In game one, the Bulldogs jumped all over Palo Verde 11-4.  Next up was a little stiffer challenge but the Dogs pulled out a 4-3 victory over Claremont.  Another rout was put on by Hemet as they took down Balboa 12-4 on their way into the semi-finals.  There they met and had an easy time with Malibu, winning 8-2 and on to the championship game where the Bulldogs took on Placentia El Dorado.  With David Ackley on the mound and the hitting of Yeager Taylor who went 2-3 and Tyler Coranado who was 2-2, the boys went on to win a close game 4-3.

Yeager Taylor was named the MVP of the tournament and the team comes back to league action with a championship trophy and an 11-4 overall record.
