This Is Going To Be A Sticky Situation

Yes! The holidays are here. Do you know what that means? Great Desserts. I know you were probably thinking about Christmas, shopping, the weather, or something else, but the only thing on my mind is the great food. Sometimes, however, great food can be hard to make and it’s not worth the time. I have great news for those kind of people (Me), there is one dessert I know that takes little to no experience to make and it is so good and fun for the whole family. You ready for this? It’s monkey bread! Don’t know what that is, or how to make it? Don’t fret my fellow reader, I have the perfect cure for this; I have the recipe to share with you.

To make Monkey bread you must first have the supplies. You need half a cup of brown sugar, two sticks of butter, or one cup, a Bundt Cake Pan, two or three teaspoons of Cinnamon, three cans of Buttermilk biscuits, non flakey is preferred, a cup of sugar and a large Ziploc bag. Before the magic can happen, the oven must be set to 350 degrees. Open a can of biscuits (watch for the POP!), and pull out the pre cut dough. Cut each individual biscuit into fourths. Do this for each one in all three cans. In the end, you will have a bunch of little triangles taking up your counter space.

Combine the 1-cup of sugar with how much cinnamon you wish to put on your bread. Place this concoction into the large Ziploc bag and shake so the ingredients are well mixed. Place all the biscuit quarters into the Ziploc bag. Now, time for a little shake; shake the bag until all the biscuits transform from the light golden color to a brown sugary color. After each little biscuit has transformed into their new color, place all of them into the bundt cake pan evenly. (You can grease the pan before; that is totally up to you). Put that aside for the moment. Don’t worry; the magic is about to start.

Place the 2 sticks of butter and the brown sugar into a saucepan on medium heat until the two become one. Pour this over the cinnamon sugared biscuits in the pan. After the little biscuits have been drowned in the sauce, place the entire pan in the already heated oven (set a 350) for about 30-40 minutes until the crust is a deep brown on top. Let the pan cool fro about 15-30 minutes because the bread will not slide out of the pan immediately. Once the pan is cool, flip it onto a plate and enjoy the sticky mess. Oh one more thing. The bread is called pull apart bread for a reason. The bread just pulls apart when you give a little tug on one of the biscuits.

This dessert is not very “healthy”, but it’s worth cheating just a little bit, don’t you think?
