MOUNTAIN PASS Led by Jared Walsh, Hemet is both the most-talented and the most-experienced team in the league and should coast to a MPL title. Hemet Tahquitz, led by 6-foot-9 monster Nick Pete, is the only other definite playoff team. Reigning champion Beaumont graduated seven of its top eight players and will fight athletic Citrus Hill and San Jacinto teams for third place. Hemet West Valley is just working to improve under new coach Darin Clark.
