HEMET (5-5) VS. PHELAN SERRANO (9-1) 7 P.M. FRIDAY AT SERRANO HS HSGAMETIME INFO: It’s the first trip to the playoffs since 2006 for the Bulldogs and they drew a tough matchup in Serrano. The Mojave River champion Diamondbacks reached the championship game last season and are the No. 2 seed this year. Serrano is 5-0 at home and sports the top scoring defense in the division, surrendering just 62 points in its 10 games with five shutouts. Hemet might have some momentum after its come-from-behind win over San Jacinto, but needs to cut down on turnovers and find success on the ground. — ALLAN STEELE

In Girls Volleyball, Baylee Christian is on top of the stat's list with an average of kills per set of 5.5 (Sets 50, Kills 277). Many of the games were won 3-0 by the Bulldogs. Also Tristen Self is at 10.9 assists per set (Sets 59, Assists 646) and on the digs board with a 4.3 (59 sets, 254 digs) digs per set. Taylor VanZee leads in the digs stat with a 5.2 digs per set (58 sets, 304 digs). Leaders were in the top performers through November 12, 2013 with a minimum number of 40 sets.
