With homecoming approaching we all wonder who will be the king and queen of the dance! Also who will get to ride around and wave at all their friends cheering them on around the football stadium. It’s a big night and a big deal for both girls and guys. In previous years we have had a wide variety of girls and guys win. Last year at the game the 5 queens got to ride around the stadium in fancy nice cars and the queen got her crown while the fireworks were bursting in the background. Then the next night at the dance the king got his crown and had a special dance with the queen.
Homecoming can be stressful, from finding that special dress with the matching shoes, to the perfect hairstyle. As well as guys trying to find the special tuxedo and the best way to ask his girl to the dance, it’s not always easy. Girls always have this special way in their head of how they want to be asked and the guy has to try as hard as he can to make it the most special way possible. From hanging posters in the commons to bringing starbucks drinks with the special question of “Would you go to homecoming with me?” or even more unique ways that are even more special.
Homecoming is a night to remember, and have fun, and dance the night away with all your friends. It is one of the most memorable dances in high school (other than prom). So I encourage everyone to go and have the time of your life. Whether or not you go “solo” or with your hot date, you should make the best of it, because you’re only in high school once!
