Once more the school year has gotten the best of us. We have to return to the place where most students spend most of their adolescence in. The one place where you can learn and hang out with friends all at the same time. Yes, I am talking about school. Every year we all look forward to the summer when homework is not done, our stress levels are lowered dramatically and the fun starts from day one. So I ask you, students of Hemet High, what was the best thing about your summer? What did you do that was just so awesome that it must be shared with the public? What was the highlight of your 2013 summer?
Raul Cervantes and Justin Taylor said “The highlight of my summer was joining the Army National Guard.”
Cheyenne Caballero stated, “I was a counselor at this summer camp for my church where we take over the Ronald Mcdonald camp and we take our church there for a week.”
Both Aby Hernandez and Micah Adams stated, “The highlight of my summer was hanging out with friends.”
“The highlight of my summer,” said Caitlin Milton, “was going to Texas for a week.”
Raquel Martinez stated, “I went camping. I was just enjoying the great the outdoors.”
Brittany Malear said, “I went to a concert and then went to the beach right after. It was so much fun.”
Elizabeth Lint said, “I guess, hangout with my family was the highlight of my summer.”
Israel Arraiq Ramirez stated “I went clubbing over the summer vacation.”
When looking back on your summer, don’t focus on the boring things like staying home, chores, work, or things like that. Always focus on the positive events that happened such as swimming, hanging with family and friends, going to the beach or even just having some peace and quiet with a good book. Every year, try to have at least one moment of bliss. Now that summer is over and we are back in gear hitting the books, lets reminisce and have a great year.
