HHS Boys Varsity Wins Tournament

The Hemet High Boys Varsity Volleyball team hosted eight teams in the Hemet Tournament again this year and is setting itself up for a strong season and a deep run in CIF.  The Boys won every game in their tournament this weekend and beat Yucaipa for the championship in two games, 25-21 and 25-23.  Throughout the day, the boys beat Ganesha, Redlands, and San Gorgonio in pool play and Tahquitz and Ganesha again in the bracket play.  With a quick offensive set running most of the games, Junior setter Jacob Hill was able to get the ball out to power hitters senior Dylan Vashah and junior Jared Walsh.  When not going to the outside, quick hitters were scoring from the middle by senior Tristan Yoder and sophomore JohnPaul Scheuble.  Getting the ball to Hill with improved passing were sophomore Jacob Arana, senior Kristian Gallardo and Vashaw.  Every player got some time on the court as they were all there to gain experience when called upon this season.

The guys are off to a 6-0 start and play today at home against Citrus Valley.  It would be a great time to get out and support your team.
