On Saturday, February 16th, the local VFW- Post 2266 honored two Hemet High sophomores Samantha Hanenberger and Morgan Lawrence- as co-winners of the Voice Of Democracy essay contest.
Along with the winners were 22 essay participants, 5 of whom were present on Saturday and were recognized with certificates. Pictured below (left to right) are Krislyn LaCroix, Kyra Espinoza, Lisette Vaca, Samantha Hanenberger, Morgan Lawrence, Bejeen Patel and Rupanshi Garg. Laura Brown was honored as the Teacher of the Year.
