Red Ribbon Week Starts Up

Red ribbon week is a nationally celebrated holiday that is taking place through out the district that helps bring awareness to the effects of drugs. This year’s theme is  “The Best Me is Drug Free”. This week, students will pledge to be drug free by participating in the dress up days sponsored by ASB. Tuesday, October 23, students wear red in support of being drug free. Wednesday October, 24th, students will wear sports clothing and “sport up against drugs”. Thursday, October 24th, is Silly day proving to students “you can have fun without drugs” Friday, October 25th, students will dress up in Super Hero attire. The last of the five dress up days will take place on the following Monday, October 29th, wrapping up the week with Twin day.  Lunchtime activities and informational tables will take place throughout the week. Posters and flyers will be scattered around the school advocating drug free living.  Red Ribbon week is a great opportunity to influence students around the nation to choose a drug free way to be.
