You Know The School Year Has Begun

Well, the school year has begun and with that, so have the fall sport seasons. Thursday was the first scrimmages many sports had to gauge where they are competitively and physically in the sport of their choice.

The girl’s volleyball team traveled to Yuciapa and had no prob- lem in winning four games. The Lady Bulldogs are in a quest to “Three-Peat” as CIF champions. With many outstanding return- ing players and a loaded roster of talent, the girls should be fun to watch.

The water polo boy’s went and took on the Yuciapa Thunderbirds at their pool. The boy’s looked to improve this season with more veteran and skilled players on the offensive and defensive ends of the pool.

The football team begins varsity play by traveling to a new opponent, the Ban- ning Bronco’s Friday night in Banning at their brand new facility. The hopes are extremely high this year and many of the players are fighting for playing time. The JV/Freshmen played the Banning Frosh/Soph. team at home Thurs- day night. The Banning team does

not field a freshmen team. With the freshmen playing offense and defense the first two quarters and the JV played all specialty teams and the third and fourth quarters. The first kickoff to Hemet resulted in a 82 yard touchdown run, but

Banning responded with a touchdown of their own to tie the score. At half, Banning was up 20-6. When the JV hit the field, they hit it hard and went up 30-20 to finish off the game with a joyous victory.
