Hemet High School Student Opens Her Own Coffee Business!

Glory Valencia, a senior at Hemet High School, has achieved something truly remarkable. After battling unique health challenges leading to hospitalization, she found her path to recovery and purpose with the support of her school and family. With an espresso machine her mom gifted her in January 2023, Glory ventured into the world of coffee. After sharing her creations with friends at school, she was prompted by friends and family to consider the idea of turning her passion into a business. She named it Morning Glory Coffee, a blend of her name and her favorite flower. Her deep connection to her faith led her to incorporate verses with “glory” into her coffee cup labels. Glory has a true heart for service, and makes every effort to make a positive impact on everyone she encounters.

Her commitment to serving others is undeniable and she takes great pride in the smiles her coffee brings to her customers. A truly remarkable student, Glory maintains a 4.0, serves on ASB, serves as Hemet High’s Girls Basketball captain, and was recently named Homecoming Princess. She does all of this while sourcing products, managing her accounting books, dreaming up recipes, catering events, and even applying to be an HUSD vendor! Her business is growing to the point where she’s even hired her two brothers, sister, and parents to help. Most recently, her dad built a trailer that allows her to run two events simultaneously. Glory is a great example of the determination, resilience, and care evident in so many of today’s students and proves that entrepreneurship and kindness can go hand-in-hand.
