Hemet High School Mock Trial Team Excels at RCOE Mock Trial Competition

Students on the Mock Trial Team stand before judges and argue complex case law and legality at a professional level. They act as court bailiffs, and artists, court clerks, jewelry experts, out of work actors, and detectives. A tremendous amount of work goes into preparing for the mock trials.

Each and every member of the team has gotten specific individual praise and recognition, but at the recent county awards three individuals earned medals. Pictured are Jay Martinez (left) who won a medal as the courtroom artist, Brooklynn Batlle (center) who won a gold medal for her role as the bailiff, and Gavin Stewart (right) who won a gold medal for his portrayal of out-of-work actor Karter Lucky.

Congratulations to these talented and hard-working students!
