The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the starting point for financial aid for community colleges and universities. All government financial aid, as well as many private scholarships, award money based on the FAFSA.

Learn how to complete the FAFSA to maximize financial aid and avoid common mistakes which can reduce financial aid awards or disqualify a student altogether.
