The U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau is partnering with the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) for 2012’s No Name-Calling Week (Jan 23-27), hosted by Barnes & Noble Partners, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).
No Name-Calling Week is an annual week of educational activities aimed at ending name-calling of all kinds and providing schools with the tools to launch an on-going dialogue about ways to eliminate bullying in their communities.
HRSA/MCHB will promote “No Name Calling Week” through social media as part of the agency’s anti-bullying campaign to encourage students, educators, and the school community to participate and bring attention to the issue of bullying behavior in schools.
