Welcome Back to school, here at Hemet High School! Distant learning is our study platform and we encourage all students to join in every school day online. Through this video, you meet the administrative staff and several ASB students. They present topics for getting this school year started online.

I'm already dressed first day of school already your man dude good enough quebradura thanks Mom what's good bro where are you he's always been a good morning I feel so sad how prevent the spread of covid-19 19 whatever whatever but yeah I'm going to hang in there let me talk to the shop don't wait up hold up all right what's a nap well right now you know there's that coronavirus endemic that spread across the nation and our schools are closed to people being on campus six feet apart help stop the spread of germs lessens the likelihood of you getting sick if you are around somebody who pretends really has coronavirus masks are required by order of the governor and so when we return to school in November I can't answer the question because we're not there yet worth right now is a day at a time trying to get ready to start the school year still at home for summer because you know school doesn't start until August 17th. When school starts on August 17th Olivia's look a little different than it has in the past and everybody will be learning through distance learning so okay what what's this is learning is an opportunity for you to learn at home through it with your teachers so you'll love onto your Chromebook every day and have time with your teacher you have to wear the masks at school and your house soccer practice social distancing which means you're 6 feet apart from one another when you're on campus Because it lessens this bread is Coronavirus so how do I get one of those cool message you have won my match was made by somebody special that are ASD selling Max with a purchase of an ASB card so if you buy an SD card to get to choose from five different masks that are all Bulldog related. I'm very sad that cannot going to be here. something that I look forward to most is having students on campus everyday so it's very sad the kids and teachers aren't going to be here this place is lonely without you all would really like to think that we're excited to start the school year so it's not the school year we wanted to start it's going to be a great year for everybody and I hope that you take advantage of the opportunities for teachers are providing to you through online and structure when you came to material pick up you received your ID card which you'll need from mail distribution you received about the school supplies that you received your Chromebook and received your text books and all of those things should be painted good used to learning we're very excited to see you through the online platforms that were are going to be provided so welcome to the 2021 school year and we're excited to have you with Abdullah confuse them a distance learning thing like is there someone else I like to explain it more to answer that question for you is gentlemen have a question for you about this and brains we're still confused on how this is 35 form is going to be this year under it if you could explain it a little further do it all right using a lot of different tools but the main platform is going to kind of Drive everything is a combination between Aries and Google classroom but Google Classroom will be like that main Hub in school cuz I know everyone's getting anxious for that and how things are you're going to look for an email from your teacher they'll explain everything with getting into Google classroom and how to do that so that we can log into your Chromebook and click that email button you're set for the first day of school was class controlling you guys know what to do no house with anything really a little different than everything so the first week you're going to be with all of your teachers everyday so you're going to see all six teacher each day of the week live on camera they're going to come to explain how everything's going to work for the class they're going to get you set up for the year so you know exactly you know what to expect from them where to find their work on the days you're not logged in live with them they're going to explain everything and then you guys a synchronous and asynchronous you know you would you like to explain so we're all here together we're live at the teachers presenting listen to me live and my classmates are there and we're watching teacher asynchronous is like the teacher posted a video for me to watch or there's a you know like practice problems or a project or something and I can work on it at any time throughout the day but there may be a dead lion need to be submitted by you know 2:45 so I got to look out for that but that's kind of the difference between asynchronous and synchronous so when you look at the bell schedule you see a gold week in a red week right and so the only difference in two weeks is that Wednesday so we Sunday Kind of rotates between gold and red and will actually send you guys emails and phone calls home every weekend to let you know hey next week the gold VK next week to read week just so you guys remember which schedule so like Monday Monday is first asynchronous right so we're going to you're going to log into first. You're going to be live with your teacher they're going to prison the last time then. 2 would be a synchronous so there's going to be something posted on their Google Classroom that I'm going to work on some kind of house going to work okay so if you want to change your classes when I have another practice how do we do that so great question to ask a high school that's something you always want to do Missoni will actually a dress that just a little bit so she'll be able to help you out with any questions you have regarding that question about how your parents access your classes so the way that's going to work guys is just like you normally would say your parents you have a Google classroom login and there's a way to get parent access to that but the teacher just needs to parent just needs to reach out to the teacher and there's a way you know just like you would in a normal school year if your parent has any questions I'm just reach out to you Lakers and they'll be happy to help you with questions like that the most important part of distance learning in the way you can be successful I know you're going to get a lot of emails but email is really going to be your key to success and making sure you read those don't just delete them I know I did a lot of hard to read them all email. Probably on the screen that you can see HHS - Library group at Hemet USD. Org that'll help password reset if you need to come to the library to change a Chromebook or you missed a textbook when you can figure something like that will be able to help you so there should be no issues but you know they always come up and clapping you also got one of these fancy little papers when you came through that has the login info so if you're new to school or anything like that. And that's how it works and also there's a down at the bottom for help with password to Chromebook issues and things like that and then all the keyboard shortcut to your Chromebook and I know some people are new to Chromebook to have a reason for that how you can write take a screen capture and things like that but that's pretty much as far as the marigolds we have our two Librarians here to help out the other important thing with school though is you know what time is right we worry about attendance at making sure we're logging in so you know how you get attendance this year at work Partners here so logging in during your synchronous time so never seen your nephew's we're here together live online you notes removal me that logging in is what is that participation in for free asynchronous compute your teacher will have a method be there to check in or submitted my assignment will be anti you check in for that so that's how you're getting your attendance credit for that so you really got to make sure you're staying on top of that. If you guys are having trouble for set a timer for having trouble with your password or you're having trouble getting into your Google need for your class with what can you guys do can we call you or email you guys if you have a choice the who's going to probably be able to help you a little bit quicker your teacher tell your teachers can help you out cell phone reset your password teachers can help you get into the Google needs teaching can help you I'm to email. and if you're still having trouble or you know it's not during the teacher time or something like that please feel free to call the school will help you out the best we can okay if you have any further questions. good going to a little more depth about the schedule changes were they saying that instead of the phone are you guys got a question they got a question for you they're ready for you I'm here to help you guys this year we're not going to be changing any classes because the remote learning and because most of our classes are full what I want to tell you is check your student emails daily or any updates that we might have I also want to say welcome back to Bulldog country all your school counselors are working diligently and we're here to support you feel free to email your counselor but we're here to support you in whatever you can you guys have to assist you during the school day for excited to start the school year out and we welcome you guys back to have a high school also the school counselors are creating a Google site for each grade level to stay tuned for that it's going to be awesome any questions I write the word Friday please and thank you for your help no problem enjoy your day and talk to you about this whole threaded ice thing thanks for asking I am missing Allen and I am the assistant principal over guidance and curriculum and instruction and I am so excited for the school year this is not the beginning that we had hoped for our plan for but we are ready for you are teachers candida counters are excited and we really hope this is a really great school year we have to tell you everything thank you Arizona babysitting how you guys doing welcome back welcome back everything was going to go down this year okay well this year we are going to have all of her sports are divided into two seasons are there going to start practice late November early December we will let everybody know through the current links and through your ear show addresses at the school when the tryouts are when the practices are and everything like that to prepare yourself and have to slow down do you need to go to Hemet High come in and followed Easter eggs so that you can get your physical clearance because if you don't have this when you're ready to go up tremendously so this is something that both you and your parents need to go through and get done and make sure we're good to go show a lot a lot of games are going to be all of our games condition and should be a lot of fun but it is going to be busy so make sure that you go to Hemet High dot-com check this out also all of our schedules they're starting to form right now on him and I. Com so that you should be able to see those as well okay alright I love this year hi we are getting bad boys and we heard you and mrs. Love me like to just introduce ourselves with me that him and I talked to you guys a little bit about our online learning model so we know that here I haven't high school we expect our Bulldogs to be respectful responsible and accountable so what does it look like during online learning to be a little different for you and you guys this is this is going to be neutralized to we're all in this together so let's start with responsible and online learning it means logging into your classroom and following your new belt schedule don't we've got our red meat and are gold week so be aware of those also it means just like you would in a regular school day getting up getting dressed and ready you know dress dress appropriately you know we don't want to see you guys in your pajamas or anything else that you would not wear to school let's talk about being respectful so that means active participation we definitely want you guys to is today at all times but the appropriate please and follow netiquette really make us proud. And lastly accountable so what does that mean during our online learning it means. You got to turn in assignments on time you got to be on top and if you need help at as I said before this is new to you this is new to us so if you need something we are here for you okay so reach out to us reach out to your teachers we talk to your other staff reach out to tell you no Administration are your counselors we're here to help you okay so good luck this school year and off vocal. all right cuz that has masks please get ready for everyone to come back to school hopefully soon encouragement for us and for us and so we're sew in but we know that as long as we do things right we'll have you guys back in a few months and everything is back to normal so that's our goal, and Peter Rabbit mask on weather weather for homecoming I can't wait till homecoming what's the deal how you been so you better put them back on and then we can finish this conversation got it see I was right now we got our math what's the deal now Robin hey Bulldogs brown hair just wanted to say hi and welcome you back to the 2020-2021 school year super excited for what's going to happen I know it's not what we all expected but it doesn't mean it will not be great make sure that you're staying on top of your email I'll be sending you guys quite a few it'll be regarding club's activities different events and anything involving a SD.
