Advanced Women’s Ensemble is a performing ensemble that is designed for women with background experience, and a high level of interest and ability in singing. Students are given the opportunity to acquire a high degree of understanding, skill, and techniques in the performance of many types of music. Rehearsals and performances outside the regular school day are required. This is an advanced group.  Students in Advanced Women's Ensemble are encouraged to also be enrolled in Concert Choir.

This select group of 20-30 singers is designed for students with particular talent for and an interest in singing. It offers the opportunity to learn and perform many kinds of music. The ensemble represents the school with performances in this and other communities. This is an advanced group. Rehearsals/performances outside the regular school day are required. Students in Chamber Singers are encouraged to also be enrolled in Concert Choir.

 

CONCERT CHOIR #53051

• PREREQUISITE: NO AUDITION • COLLEGE PREP

This course is a performance group for beginner singers. Students will develop musical skills, artistic perception, creative expression, and aesthetic valuing through preparation and performance of choral works in a variety of styles. Music preparation and performance will also enable students to gain an understanding of historical and cultural contexts of the music performed. The overall focus of the course is to enable students to develop the discipline, motivation, and creativity necessary to achieve excellence in music, academics and future careers.
